A new dBpoweramp “R2024-2-1” for both Windows & macOS is released and packaged in Music Converter.
I was a bit confused. Is this upgrade free for those of us that paid previously?
I think a licence gives you 2 years free updates, but it will not stop working after that period.

Yes as GadgetMan says, if you’ve bought a licence(s), you get update support for 2 years.
To check out what you have … open the dBp forum, go to the “Buy” screen and at the bottom of that screen open Registration Retrieval … at the end of that process you will find all your purchases order numbers, those that have available updates will have an “Install” box showing.
