Anybody knows what are the speakers that appear in @Bjorn picture above ? Post 2229

Yes, the speakers are, as Richard said, Neat Ultimatum XLS and the system sounded absolutely wonderful together with Solstice! Among the best I have ever heard, and I heard some…

Thanks. From the picture, they look like large, big bookshelves. Is it that, because on other pics from the net, they seem smaller ?
They seem to be very interesting speakers to consider, in average rooms.

What Hifi verdict :

When partnered with care, the XLSes are entertainers of the highest order

FOR

  • Wonderfully entertaining performer
  • terrific bass weight and power for cabinet size
  • superb timing and expressive dynamics

AGAINST

  • Dedicated speaker stands are great but cost a hefty £950
  • demanding of amplification

Nice, in which price range are the speakers?

I think XLS ‘a come in at about £8k now?

That is my thought too.

Well I will say they are the LAST pair of speakers you will buy before you go to your grave. So the crates they come in can be used as your coffin.:grinning:

The price for Neat Ultimatum XLS in Sweden is about 7800 EUR and a pair of dedicated stands are available for 900 EUR. (Not Neat’s own, the price for them is 1700 EUR)

Nice price  Are they comparable with Kudos Titan 505?

I have never listened to Kudos, the brand does not exist in Sweden, so unfortunately I do not know.

Yes they have similar origins but I found the 505s easier to place.

Here in Germany we have a handful of Kudos dealers, most of them don´t have the Titans. I think it´s hard to sell them in this price range

I know it’s difficult at the moment with travel restrictions but Peter at @Cymbiosis would happily demonstrate to you. You can fly into East Midlands Airport.

I agree Bjorn - I’m a huge fan of the Neat XLS’s having them for 4 years or so

A sensational speaker I must say with Naim gear
