I recently purchased a new Naim 4 pin to 5 pin DIN interconnect from a longtime authorized Naim dealer. Upon opening the box I was surprised to see the source (4 pin) end having a green colored band (“NA-9110”) as on the standard 5 pin to 5 pin DIN interconnects. In the past the 4 pin to 5 pin DIN interconnect source ends (4 pin) had white colored bands. Has Naim abandoned the band color scheme with their recently produced interconnects? Perhaps was this a 5 pin to 5 pin DIN that was modified/re-terminated to 4 pin to 5 pin and, if so, any downside to that, or is it the exact same cable with a different source-end termination? Presumably it would have been fully tested prior to sealing but still had me pause and think about it. Experiences/insights? Thanks in advance.
