Hi everyone,
Another month clicks by and time for the internet radio update.
A few stats:
- 100% uptime as of the start of the year.
- Station count is now just under 48000
- Dedicated servers now operational in USA, Europe, Australia and China.
- Processing about 5 million radio API requests a day from customers.
- In March 185 stations added, 337 modified, 192 deleted.
A few areas worth changing
- Bauer Media, UK - Latest stations added: Greatest Hits Radio 70’s, Greatest Hits Radio 80’s, Hits Radio 90’s, Hits Radio 00’s. XPeri Extended metadata feeds are going live soon.
- OpenFM network, Poland - now back in the system as under different authentication control.
- LIstnr network, Australia - fully in sync with their latest content.
- Antenna 1, Germany. Fully in sync with their webradio streams content.
- Popular station views are now fully operational for countries where there is enough activity to make such a view worthy. Stats have been accumulating for months.
As ever a mention on our promoted stations who are delivering something unique on this platform and are available on the internet radio home screen:
The Jazz Groove - kindly supplying access to their full network of stations at 256kbit MP3. rather than the standard 128kbit MP3. Quality set of channels and sound good. If you like what you hear then becoming a subscriber to their service keeps the music flowing, plus they have some nice FLAC lossless streams as well.
2XS Radio - kindly giving us a dedicated studio feed at 576kbit OGG rather than the standard 192kbit MP3. 2XS specialize in rock centric material from the 60’s to today, and play some quite unusual stuff. Recommended! Again, if you like what you hear and want to help them out, go over to their website and make a donation to keep the Marshall amps running at 11
We’re working on a few more stations, but these deals take a bit of time to get into place. Lets see if we can get them live in a few months.
Best wishes
Steve
