Brand View - to be compliant with the TuneIn vs Sony court ruling ( Court of Appeal upholds copyright infringement decision against digital radio aggregator | RPC ) we offer stations that are for the users country by default. Goal being we don’t want to encourage users to listen to music that geographically they may not be licensed to listen to. This ruling came in 2019 and various services have applied their own interpretation to it. At Naim we do a users IP to country lookup and make that the default country view, but we don’t block users intentionally browsing to other countries. It’s your responsibility to not upset Sony
On the newer products there is a search feature that does a mix of searching the station title + any meta tags we’re attached to the station and also weights the results based on the country. Typically this will pick up all brands as well.
