The legacy the products (Muso gen1 / Uniti / classic with green screen displays) don’t have a radio search feature, while products from 2017 onwards do. To allow these older products to run the new service we’ve had to cripple the new service in various ways…
- Radio Search - there isn’t one.
- Hidef/lossless radio content - can’t play it.
- Video based radio stations - can’t play them.
- XPeri extended meta - can’t show it.
- MPEG DASH stations - can’t support it.
Overall, we’ve really pushed the bounds on the newer products on what the radio system can do, but due to the age and capabilities of the processing in the older products from 8+yrs ago, we have had to be very selective on what we expose. Saying all this, once the system is setup as the customer likes it, then its perfectly usable.
