New Naim standby and fuses

Hey guys,
Does anyone have any information or experience with new naim products such as new classic, nait 50, any of the second generation streamers (NDX2, ND5XS2) and their fuses blowing while exiting standby mode?

I am asking because the xps 2 is known to have a finnicky fuse which could blow due to its inrush current. And the new naim equipment is meant to be used going in and out of standby quite frequently. Would it be safe to constantly use standby mode with the new equipment?

I had a 222 that was fine going in and out of Standby, as are the 332 and 333 I have now. All powered by a NPX300. The NC power amps are also less likely to blow fuses due to the soft start technology they have in them.

When I first added an XPS DR to my NDX2 I had neglected to notice that the XOS’s power button was in the ‘on’ position when I inserted the mains cable.

I switched it off, finished connecting everything up and powered on again only to be met with a ‘pop’ and a blown fuse.

I discovered the in-rush current explanation on the internet and since then, whenever I’ve powered down the XPS, I’ve always waited around 10 mins for the caps etc to drain before powering up again.

Since doing that I haven’t had a single blown fuse and my NDX2 is coming in and out of standby quite often (powering down completely is a fairly rare occurrence however).

The New Classic boxes use a soft start
