I’m a member of the photographic section of the SVAS, the Friends of the Shuttleworth collection. Every year we have a print competition and this year I have been encouraged into submitting something of my own. Essentially needs to be pics from Old Warden over the last couple of years.
I’ve picked out a few of my own favourites but remain undecided what to send in!

well done by being asked to submit. For me 1 would be my choice, but Shuttleworth perhaps 4 or 12.

I’m no expert but would go with 4, 7 or 11 and if pushed I’d go with 7. That said, I’d be happy to have them all on my wall. Fantastic!

Bit difficult to see from so far away and they’re small prints, but if No.10 is sharp, that’s clearly the best.
It’s in a different league. I don’t know what the doubt is. Crop the top 15% off and tell them a photographic competition limited to A4 format only is stupid. They’ll agree and you’ll be chairman within the next three years.

Yeah…The SVAS is not really something that is run to a strong margin of common sense and flexibility from what I can see from afar. This is this and that is that. This is The Way. But that has its benefits too, it is a different pace. I want nothing to do with ‘committees’ though.
I’ve never bothered to enter before now, however membership is nice, it gets me close to things…
