Either is fine, but I would use standby mode. Power consumption is low as it conforms to the relevant EU regs.

Yes I use Network sleep, which is presumably what is referred to here by standby mode. A key point is that you can turn it on again from your armchair using the Naim app. And it wakes up in a couple of seconds or so.

Funnily enough, I just noticed my Star was hot to touch. I checked and server mode was set to off, so I toggled it to on, then off, and it’s now cooled down again.
