Nova Uniti won't go to sleep or to Power Off

User 9872 from 2014. Uniti Nova 423599. Problem: Mains power shut down in hurricane while I was glued to Ashes last Saturday. (I’m on North Australia coast. )

No audible audio when Uniti Nova came back on when power restored 60 hours later. Volume visibly changes but zero sound. Naim Remote & phone app both effective - except no sound and all 3 power buttons don’t work! Won’t go to Standby or hard shutdown (holding down for 3 seconds). I’ve rebooted router and Bluetooth connection. Nova firmware is current: 3.11.0 (5662)

I’m reluctant to pull power cord without shutdown first. Is any kind forum member able to help?

I have Uniti Core and Focal Electra speakers. As an English-Australian, Perth Test match left me confused…

I haven’t seen this particular problem, but for sure the first thing you must do is take the power right off, leave it for a minute or so and then put the power on again. You won’t do any harm to the Nova and if you talk to Naim support, this is the first thing they would suggest you do. Let us know f this doesn’t solve the issue.

all OK now! Audio back, power now controlled. David, I can’t thank you enough for giving me permission to shut off power! And for responding. so fast. Your help is part of the sheer joy of owning a Naim system…
