NSC222 max volume

Hello All,

I have a new classic nsc222 and nap250 and more recently I’ve had an issue where the streamer plays at max volume and the only way to stop it is to switch it off (quickly)! The volume down and knob doesn’t do anything.

originally i though it was limited to tidal but I’ve had a couple of occasions with internet radio as well.

I have now set a max volume (damage limitation) although I’m not entirely sure even that works when it decides to play full volume.

I use AV mode for fronts.

any idea?

I have done a full reset. I’ll maybe try again

Be careful when using AV mode because if it’s set to bypass it will fix the volume output to maximum. Use one of the other inputs and you won’t have an issue.

Considering I’ve never even reached halfway in my system I shudder at what full volume of 282 sounds like I wonder which would blow first my speakers or my eardrums :joy:

I was streaming through Tidal connect. AV amp wasn’t on so no signal involved

It has done it a few times now - the first time was seriously loud. After this I put a maximum volume in place!
