One day, two great releases....Jeff Tweedy and Robert Plant

Jeff Tweedy: Twilight Override

A triple album (29 tracks) from the Wilco frontman, playing with his sons mostly. One listen so far, hard to imagine a triple (or even a double album) that doesn’t obviously need editing or quality control but this might be an outlier. The man is a genius IMHO. It is downloadable from Bandcamp and Qobuz but not on Tidal yet.

Robert Plant: Saving Grace

Bluesy, oozes quality support and musicianship. I was never blown away by all of his collaborations with Alison Krauss albums but this has more the feel of Band of Joy etc. Superb, feels like a classic. This is on Tidal/Qobuz but not yet downloadable from Bandcamp.

Duly noted. Still waiting for an amp repair but can listen on Qobuz in the interim.

I am trusting the venn overlap of our respective tastes is intact! Let me know.

Broadly speaking I think it may well be.

I refuse to accept that any triple album needs to be a triple and strongly believe the second Krauss/Plant album was a waste of time but Tweedy and son are just extraordinary and Plant solo and indeed live is just such an attractive thing.

We shall see .
