If you do that then you get electron lock where the electrons get all piled up at the plug and the music flow is disrupted. Or something.
Ah - I guess that makes sense. I suppose you’d have to unplug it periodically to let the electrons fall out. Not sure whether that would damage the floor, though I suppose you could put a metal bowl underneath to catch them?
Or a Naim mug maybe…
If the cable is pushing hard against the floor (and therefore also against the sockets) just put a tighter bend in the cable so that it just rests lightly on the floor. (Softening the cable a little with a hairdryer can help, but you can probably do it without.)

That’s what I’ve done but making the tighter bend in the cable made me nervous.
