What a shock so soon after his farewell gig. RIP.
Blimey. That is really sad to hear, even though I was no fan of the music. He certainly left his mark - RIP.
It’s not a surprise but it’s still sad.
RIP Ozzy.

The loss of another legend.
Utter legend. Sabs were the first band I saw live and I saw several shows with the Blizzard Of Oz.
Brilliant last act in raising £150m for charity
RIP
Was a teenager when I first heard their debut album. From the opening track, with the distant bell ringing and the rain followed by an explosion of heavy metal, I was spell-bound and utterly hooked. Goodbye Ozzy and thank you.
That was a curved ball……i heard some of the music they played at the final concert and thought, pretty good Ozzy.
That is sad news. 76 is not such a great age these days, but given his former drug and alcohol abuse, he was made of tough stuff to get this far.
It has turned out to be a farewell concert in every sense, but it was a good way to take a last bow.
His and Sabbath’s music will live on, and we have that still to enjoy, so thanks, Ozzy!
I am not one to watch reality TV, but I did catch an episode of his program some years ago. I could not stop laughing as he tried to argue with the BMW voice recognition system to tune the radio in. The BMW could not cope with his Brummie and slurred accent well at all. He just got more and more irritated with the car; it was almost a Basil Fawlty moment.
Sadly not a shock at all as the state of his health was fully known before Villa Park and the line-up and timings based on what everyone knew was coming.
Not a fan of his music but you can’t argue with those first Sabbath albums nor the greatest piece of reality TV we’ve ever seen.
He was looking very frail , sad news.
Gosh, just woke to this news. One of the greatest for rock. Go in peace.
Very sad news. The effort of the farewell gig was too much. He has now gone into the void. RIP.
First two Sabbath albums are among my all time favourites, and I have good memories of seeing him perform live back in the 70s. Sadly this is one thing that we all know will happen to us - it is a poignant reminder with every one of these RIP threads…
Absolutely no interest in his music but wow, just after the concerts, RIP Ozzy, absolute legend even if it isn’t your thing.
I just had a thought.
I’d like to be at the Pearly gates when he gets there
St. Peter says “Name?”
Ozzy says " Don’t you know who I am? I’m the Prince of Fecking Darkness!"
I shall be putting on the first Sabbath album as soon as I get home on Thursday.
The first Sabbath album was the very first ‘proper’ album I bought, way back in the early 70s. RIP Ozzy.
Respect ![]()
He did well to get to 76 given his lifestyle. He certainly made his mark musically, some of it was great.
However some of his behavior, with particular regard to birds and cats, should have resulted in being prosecuted. A terrible role model by any standard.
Like so many others wasn’t a fan of the music but was a fan of the man some people are so hard to replace RIP (shaaaarrrooooonnn)
