What is it with cats sitting on Naim!
I love my dog, but thereās no way Iād allow him or a cat (if I owned one) to sit on top of my black boxes. But once purchased they belong to you and I guess itās your choice and right.
Apart from the potential to scratch the cases is there a risk that fur/hair would case any damage to the electronics.
Cats like high places (dogs donāt climb trees). They also like warm spots. So sleeping on a black box is to be expected. Scratches are unlikely ā they donāt sharpen their claws on metal. The amount of cat hair that might get into a sealed box is no greater than room dust. The greatest problem is cat hairs on records ā there record cleaning and anti-static is the solution.
Also it is quite hard to train a cat.
When I lived with my parents at one point we had three cats, Tabby(age 15), Tiddles(17) and Stella(21) all three sadly passed away many years ago, cats train their human servants.
My parents have one cat now Bonny and Dad obeys.
Ok I did mean to say impossible ![]()

Cats like heat!
They also do as they please. So if you make a warm black box available, they will likely take advantage of it. One of mine used to jump onto the lid of my LP12, which never caused any problems, even if a record was playing.
That dam cat looks so comfortable I could almost join him.
Now cats are taking over, it seems. ![]()
Arenāt any self-respecting dog owners around anymore?

Iām one, but I feel you canāt keep sticking photos of the same dog. Thereās plenty in my street, might fetch a few tomorrow and shove them in front of my system.
How is Diesel?
Cat tries sleeping on top of furniture.
Cat in such deep sleep, then falls off said furniture.
Cat rolls in mid air, admiring Obelisk driven system on way down and lands on his feet. Of course.
Sheās giving me the eye after being told off chewing one of the girls dolls, now with her toy bone.
Heās recovering well. Like the rest of us heās not too impressed with being confined to barracks. Weāre still waiting on his test results which hopefully weāll get today, fingers crossed. Thank you for asking.
Thereās something about an old dog, pups are cute but an old dog just pulls at your heart strings. Maybe itās that mans best friend thingy. Take care.
Thanks Pete. I understand that Diesel has Mast tumour. Hope it all works out well and I know that between you and the vet he will get the best care possible.
