What time of day was this? A lot of foxes are wary of cats but clearly not here. Looks very aggressive.
I had to intervene recently when we heard screams outside and a fox was chasing a small cat. Foxes are getting bigger and bolder thanks to easy pickings in suburban areas. My cat, Jinx, as in the picture above has been known to chase big foxes in his younger days!

That was taken at 15:22. The fox had been hanging around on the shed roofs most of the day. To be fair to the fox he was just trying to get past Tom. Tom took a swipe at him but got brushed aside quite nonchalantly. I have seen him chasing foxes out of the garden recently.

It’s funny, must be a Retriever thing but Pluto does exactly the same, he sleeps on his back a lot with all 4 legs in the air, he also does the smile thing, sometimes with a kind of grimacing wolf like expression, I guess it’s normal for the breed.
