Pls help for my CD5XS has no sound

Hello friends

I am an owner of a naim CD5XS CDP from Indonesia that has a problem about 2 months already..

My CD5XS still can play and read the CD tracks normally, (the CD can rotate normally) but there is no sound.

I tried everything, checked all the connections and also checked the SPDIF switch, both on off normally, but unfortunately the CDP still has no sound.

I checked on the CD player sometimes the jack for the digital output is off but sometimes it’s on

Any idea or recommendation what’s actually going on to my naim CD5XS CD player? I was so upset regarding this as it was already almost 2 months i can’t listening to my beloved naim CD5XS

Please give me a clue regarding the condition of my cdp, what do I have to do with this kind of problem? As there is no Naim Authorized Service Centre in Indonesia.

Does the player have the link plug fitted to the back?

Also, check whether the output has switched from one output to another (you can switch it to output on both RCA and DIN but it doesn’t sound quite as good that way).

I tried also with RCA and activate both DIN/RCA but still no sound. And yes the CD5XS has a link plug

Did you switch off the player when you moved the analogue/s/pdif digital switch? You have to switch off first before switching for it to take effect. Whatever you do, don’t try moving the switch when the unit is powered up (see the manual).
