Power Station use covering Home Theatre (pre + power)

Hey much love n cheers y’all…

just in a weird place right now, and somehow stumbled off the beaten path and discovered a Power Station and what it did for my audio.

Hopefully in the upcoming months to put the XS3 (Nait) in AV Bypass (With an Anthem MRX720/Marantz SR9300 combo); all on power stations…

Already the extra imaging is crazy good.
(video to come, cameras bavked up to the max, needing to upload)

but some stuff from a mob phone is here..

gain control is disabled (sadly makes ‘super low volume’ so be warned to pause or stop before end as ‘next video will be loud’)

useful thing about recording is it can test hifi systems…
(notes attached to video)..

I bought this particular power station after trying a few other brands/products, and as it was the only brand that passed with flying colours (~1% THD PURE SINE WAVE up to nearly rated performace (and ~2% THD aboit 20% above rated power output ie when overdriven!!)).

I didnt try them all but I did do A LOT of research and so will try and present some learnings over a couple of vids..
-not just subjective audioble improvements, but power consumption optimisation and how to use a few different rated Power Stations to isolate equipment further.

Leaving grid noise on the other side of LiFePo4 batteries, and having much more accurate power actually to the world standard (I am in Western Australia where we still use 240hz) is solid..

It comes through clearly in audio kit improvements and is no doubt a cheap investment with regards to upgrading a system.
(also protects other investments, but now I AM sounding like an ad.. definately not).

looking forward to having a place for posts with the Naim community again.
I feel I’ve been missing hanging out…

Hey, here..
a Nait XS3 “high five”

I am on a phone, using onscreen keyboard.

So- an unusually short post from me.

Haven’t plugged in home theatre kit yet; but have been enjoying “Deadwood” (TV show) via the Nait XS3.

In fact the so called Nait forward sound has been tamed with a huge open soundfield and incredible throw ‘well beyond (behind)’ the screen.

The changeup, for me, using recreated AC /“Pure Sine Wave” power has been huge. One of the biggest audio upgrades I have netted from changing or adding one piece of kit.

A nice bonus with the Bluetti (brand) power station has been the grounding point.
We had serious rain last week, and the chassis of the bus got soaked through is my take… the frame seemed to lose its ability to ground and a slight buzzing crept through the Nait amp (the sort that leads to lots of posts about hum/buzzing, with the solution being “better earth”).

Using some atrocius speakers in terms of fair pairing (really should use some speakers at least 10x more cost to be a more balanced system), the resultant sound from sorting out clean power has been epic.

Made a playlist here;
hope a sense of the stage depth comes through (eg ENZso track; follow the spoons).. certainly the dynamics that jump out even at this low listening volume.

The clarity in the midrange is so sweet, and the partner loves the soundfield depth and width, as it removes the walls of our (limited) living space..

I would encourage audio peeps to consider generating clean ‘perfect pure sine wave’ as it really improves the audio substantially.

best value for money audio upgrade I’ve made.

No, ‘secrets’ and tricks thread I’d say.

I’ve made content for Naim where I review high end focal headphones on the XS3 headphone socket, and had that removed… so I have lost interest fighting for forum freedom.
As far as I can figure, no method to madness of having pists taken down/removed.. didn’t even get told on multiple other times, and never broke a rule, so..

Your Mileage May Vary = effort to help Naim users is often for nought.

I have no horse in this race.
Just found some tweaks to the XS3 that help it aound better.
and using an XS3 in AV Bypass mode is a MASSIVE upgrade for home theatre setups. (etc)

edit: ah yes, I did mention a brand of power station. (true)… I did so as no other power stations I have tested had the earth point, and that specifically helps (some) Naim kit solve hum and buzz issues
