Hi,
me once again. One question regarding the Stageline phono pre:
Can i supply the stagline with power from the Uniti Star? Maybe via the DIN cable?
Thanks,
Axel

Nope - needs a hicap or other alternative Naim psu.
No. Look for a hicap instead.
The original Uniti had a powered phono input, I think.
Naimuniti predates “new platform” uniti ie atom star nova.
There was a naimuniti, unitilite and a superuniti.
A flatcap will be the cheapest option, but hicap will match the form factor (half width box).
Yes, the original Uniti had a powered AUX2.
Ok, i see…
An old second hand FlatCap (any vintage) should be sufficient. They go for peanuts, though may need a service.
Rather than a Stageline and a power supply, why not get a powered phono stage? There are plenty available. Which turntable and cartridge do you have?
So far none at all. Stageline + separate power suppy would be way to expensive anyway.
Maybe i’ll start with a tt with integrated pre amp.
In that case you can’t go wrong with a rega or project; both make a plug ‘n’ play turntable complete with phono stage built in.
If you could get a Rega P2 or P3, their Fono phono stage is a perfect match. Much cheaper is the version of the P1 with integrated phono, but it may leave you disappointed.
I would definitely add the Technics SL-1500C to the shortlist.
As an aside the new 222 and 332 not provide a phono feed? Shame if not, my Stageline and later Superline used to sound great of my 282/SC.
The NAC332 and NSC222 have a powered 8 pin DIN to power the NVC TT phono stage.
The NSC222 also has an onboard MM phono stage
I agree. or if more casual, one of the entry Regas, or personally, I strongly preferred the TEAC TN-4D at that entry price point of ready to go with built-in phono stages, though with a slighter better cartridge and power supply it is nudging the P6 price point which is probably higher than the OP wants to go.
