It’s worth reading Martin Samuel’s article in the Times today…both re Chelsea / Arsenal match and Paqueta behaviour..

Let me guess Caciedo shouldn’t have been sent off and Arsenal were lucky.

Yep…unbiased viewpoint, i.e he is neither a Chelsea or Arsenal supporter ….no doubt you will suggest he is an Arsenal hater next :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Arsenal were not at their best on the day and I would have fancied Chelsea if they’d have kept 11 men on the pitch. An opportunity missed for the Spanish whinger. Caicedo was a clear red card. Reckless in the extreme. I’ve just watched Paquetas sending off. Utterly embarrassing and deserves a club fine.

As were dealing in ifs buts and maybes let me correct that as many Chelsea fans are dealing with ifs buts and maybes.

He was in an offside position and I would suggest he was interfering with play …next lets get to the Hincapie elbow, intentional or not

No he’s a journalist trying to gain traction which is his job my reply was sarcasm as a to why you who is a Chelsea supporter found the article interesting and why you took the time to post it on the forum.

I never guessed you were being sarcastic…I should have mentioned that an old Spurs player holds the same viewpoint but that would have taken too much time to post all at once :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I cannot claim that I watched his debut game - it was a few months earlier than my first attendance, and at that time Saints had another MC playing in that position, namely Martin Chivers.

But I saw many of his “cartwheel” celebrations over the following few years

And I bet you can’t believe it was 60 years ago….

See Arsenal to be fined a ‘whopping’ £25K for their poor discipline and their over aggressive/bad tackles resulting in 6 yellows in the Chelsea game. Bet they’re regretting their poor standards now…I mean twenty five grand, that’s about 9 1/2 minutes of Declan Rice’s playing time!

Oh I can!

But not quite sixty years…….but ask me again Xmas next year!

Just spare a thought for poor old Trevor Chalobah who was injured so badly by Piero Hincapie yesterday that he just had to post this picture of himself on his instagram just before his mummy comes and tucks him in.

Well done Trev that’s Propa Chels!

Tbf if someone elbowed me in the face and gave me a black eye,I wouldn’t be sending them any kind of pleasantries…

Andy I think you may have uncovered the truth and righted a terrible wrong I was to busy laughing to notice but on further inspection the ice looks a bit iffy :joy: :joy:
