Premier League Football 25/26

1:1 at half time and down to 10 men, I thought Newcastle were going to get a pasting but Eddie kept them on the front foot for most of the 2nd half and then an absolute belter of a finish from Osula and we end up with all 3 points. That was a very pleasant surprise after recent performances.

It was a stunner of a goal .

Worth a try. As is retroactive punishment for “simulation” (i.e. cheating).

While we’re at it, how about sorting out the ludicrous offside law, the mess that is the handball law, and mass dissent whenever a referee makes a decision?

If the will existed to clamp down on the uglies, all would be sweetness and light in the game I also find hard to love these days. Now get off my lawn!

I had the feeling in the second half that Newcastle would win that game even with 10 men. We obviously can’t figure out how to play with a man advantage.

Arsenal fans don’t give a flying f if their team cheats their way to the title. A win’s a win - anyway possible it seems.

Sums them up.

Crikey, even the Gunner loving luvvies at the Beeb seem to have turned against Arsenal. Their report on Arsenal’s win last night is withering.

I am not a fan of Arsenal or City but I would like Arsenal to win the PL for a change. Having said that I think the rugby scrums that purport to be corners, instigated chiefly by Arsenal, need to be sorted out asap. Once the ball is in the box, they rapidly become a chaotic lottery. They are certainly not good to watch. Last night for City’s second goal, Sels was wrestling with Haaland (Sels won!) as the ball was crossed and Rodri found a clear space immediately afterwards. Who knows what would have happened without the brawl?

Nevertheless, against the odds, we salvaged a point with two good goals from arguably our best players. The relegation battle is now very serious! Pity we lost Nuno.

Exactly.

I would give Arsenal a 10 point deduction for it.

No, make that 60.

Ah, Wugged-Woy v Bob The Builder , rather like Dr Who and The Master locked in the eternal battle of the ages.

With VAR taking the place of the DALEKS and Pep‘s team taking the place of the Cybermen.

Aww, shucks, Ian. I’m totally unbiased. You should know by now.

Far too intellectual - how about Heman and Skeletor?

Which one is BTB and which one is WW?

Clearly it’s Skeletor who promotes the ‘dark arts’

The Daleks win that battle:

Cyber Leader: “This is war!”

Dalek Sec: “This is not war - this is pest control!”

I don’t get the Dr Who analogy but it’s not fair fight seeing as Arsenal are 7 points clear at the top of the Premier League and the hapless Spuds are a point above relegation.

Honestly I feel sorry for WW and the Spuds supporters they’ve been sold a massive lie that they are a big club when in fact they are actually where they belong.

Jesus Christ Arsenal have you lot regressing to you’re childhoods for comfort.

It’s the state of unresolved perpetual conflict between the Master and the Doctor .

There will never be an outright winner

Not regressing Bob - the sheer boredom of watching your lot play is advancing me to an early grave

I think I would prefer us getting relegated, playing awful but fair, rather than winning the league by cheating..
