My UnitiAtom was unplugged for a few months this summer and carefully stored. Since plugging back in and connecting via ethernet to my Orbi Mesh system, Tidal playback has been buffering or juddering for want of a better word, whether using the Naim or Tidal app. The problem occurs on both my Android tablet and phone, both of which are relatively new. My wife’s Apple phone has the same issue, except when using Apple’s music service, which works just fine. In no particular order I’ve tried the following:
- Reset both the router and mesh system
- Unplugged the Atom and switched it on again
- Cleared the Tidal app cache
- Forced the Tidal app to stop
- Deleted the Tidal app and downloaded it again
- Changed my Tidal password
- Tried a different ethernet cable
- Checked for firmware and app updates
Oddly an album on Max resolution played ok today, but one labelled as High resolution began stuttering almost straight away. Tidal works fine in the car on Android Auto. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I’m at a loss. Interestingly I tried to connect the Atom to my mesh system via wi fi, but it kept failing on password input, so I re connected the cable as before. All devices are definitely working through the mesh system and not the broadband providers router.
