Dan, out of interest, have you compared the 300DR with the Moon amp? The 272/555/300 is rather good. Moon also make a streaming preamp that may be worth investigating. Their stuff looks good, though I’ve never heard it.
Yes. The 760A has the same sound signature as the 300DR, delivering PRAT in spades but with a black background to die for and a phenomenal grip. All this from a single box, the same size as the 250DR.
There was an element of blimey about my response. 
The 272 is staying for the foreseeable future; most of the other suggestions are already in place. The only thing not being looked at is exotic ethernet cables - only when I’m desperate for that last nth degree of missing sq will that come into the equation, and in all likelihood that will be never.
