I don’t seem to be able to master the art of quoting in a reply. What is the ‘block quote’ feature supposed to achieve?
Press and hold the section of text you want to quote. (That’s on iOS, there is presumably a comparable way on a computer.)
Drag the little blue things around to cover the text you want to quote, and hit the grey Quote button.

Loki, if you’re on a regular browser, the just highlight the text you ant to quote from an earlier reply. Then you’ll see a little 'Quote" drop down button appear next to the highlighted text. Click on the button and a reply dialog box appears with the quoted text. Then just type in your reply blow the quoted text. Hit Reply, and away you go…
