BBC and Guardian report that William Orbit died at home on July 23rd. Sad news. He worked with a range of musicians. Kraftwerk’s ‘Radioactivity’ remix is a favourite of mine.

What a shame. It’s an obvious choice but Ray of Light with Madonna was just brilliant ( as was the later stand alone single they did together - Beautiful Stranger)

A shame alright, I really like his stuff particularly Pieces in a Modern Style which I play regularly. Ray of Light was a masterpiece in production terms and was engineered by a friend of mine which really helped his subsequent career understandably, mind you he’s long out of the game now as it’s a tough business. Time for Barbers Adagio for Strings I think………..RIP.
