You always hear about speakers placement but never the actual rack and it’s gear so is the rack better between speakers or on the side wall,?
Actually, you hear about it all the time.
General consensus is that the ideal state is to have nothing between the speakers. Rack should be off to one side, away from room corners.
Then, deviate from this according to real life constraints.
