Radiohead To Perform Live Again

I go to plenty of live concerts.

I thought the O2 was bad but the OVO Hydro in Glasgow is even worse

It sounds like a great name for washing detergent too.

blimey, so registering doesn’t even guarantee an unlock code to join the queue for actually buying a ticket!

No..otherwise the bots would take over.

Radiohead never split up so perhaps the thread title could be changed?

I for one am really looking forward to seeing a band play live who
a) have consistently innovated and defied expectations
b) have their core creative nexus (Jonny Greenwood and Thom Yorke) still at their peak as demonstrated by the Smile project
c) have not or ever have broken up.

I don’t see it as a money grabbing reunion tour. Looking at Thom Yorke’s recent touring workload he clearly enjoys playing live - post Covid and all the challenges he has had.

Hoping to get a chance to see such a creative band live. And also hoping the unnecessary trolling stops. It’s sad more than anything and fortunately rare here. I’m sure there are plenty of members here who are trying to get a chance to see them - good luck.

Agree totally. I’ve registered in the hope of securing some tickets.

So have I. Good luck!

Me too. It’s a ballot with fixed prices rather than dynamic pricing as far as I can see. Basically like Wimbledon. Musicians still at the top of their game (certainly Thom and Jonny are) so hardly a money grabbing nostalgia tour. Wouldn’t be surprised if we see some new music off the back of this.

Registered here too, saw them in Paris and Ireland previously. A really excellent live band.

@mkp1969 I’d agree at the top of the O2 is poor but I found Wembley Arena to be much worse - until they were ‘refurbishing’ it and I saw Queen + Paul Rogers in a tent in the car part of the Arena. A new low. The floor was completely flat and at almost 2m tall I had the advantage of being able to see the show. The short friend I want with just had to feel the music coming through people. I felt really guilty! (No quips about Q+PR being awful please!)

Radio 2 In the Park - Soul II Soul
Great set.

Oops … wrong thread LOL
Fitter
Happier
More productive …

We registered our interest, but this is just nonsense. 80k tickets for the whole of the UK, just nonsense. Either commit to a tour of F off.

Waited years to see them and only found out yesterday they were released and all gone already! Very sad. Anyone with spare tickets let me know. Good on them for playing live and why shouldn’t they make money from their art?
