I wish I had the room, the money and the skill set of this guy. Amazing work.

Totally agree, it’s fantastic, looking forward to seeing it on the road again.

I’d quite like a visit to his premises.

Me too, I don’t think it’s too far away from me, but for obvious reasons, he keeps the location close to his chest.

Latest update for you.

The turntable area is just about finished with the engine shed, coal staithes, crane, dry stone walling, sea foam trees and general landscaping.
Oh, and the obligatory farmer with mk I Land Rover with split windscreen at field gate.
Here are 3 update photos of this corner of the layout:

As ever, more to do, as and when I have the time.

Best regards, BF

I do like the backdrop. I think it’s really hard to get them to flow but yours works well.

I’m surprised that he does not like visitors.

Do you know how he funds it, as it must be quite some expense?

He does mention in one of the previous videos, how he has funded the layout, but sod’s law, I can’t remember or find which one at the moment…but I will keep looking.

Having visitors is a difficult one, if I remember correctly, Heaton is in the basement of a commercial building, so may not be allowed too, but again, it’s not common knowledge where the layout is situated, and from what I understand, he wants to keep it that way.

A little advanced notice. I will be exhibiting at this one

This turned up this morning, for anyone that has an interest in the first generation diesel classes of British Railways and what happened to them, highly recommended.
