REL Connection for Active Speakers

I’ll just have to macgyver something I suppose, this is getting ridiculous.

Thank you, I’ll report back on how things are progressing.

Rel just came out with a Planar sub that is wireless. Not sure if it would work for you but the video I watched said it works with active speakers, there is a transmitter box.

I’m surprised REL hasn’t responded. They usually reply within a day or two.

I’m unsurprised Naim didn’t respond. I have also had issues in the past in that regard. I gave up on them when I had problems with NDX2 system automation, and they never followed up as promised.

So do I and have wondered about a single C4 vs a pair of C1s at around the same price. Please do report back if/when you do get a C4.

Unfortunately the C1 does not have the XLR inputs and outputs the the C4 has

You’re right .. sorry. I assumed that ATC’s own sub which they recommend for use with 40As would have pass through.

Reporting back. I used a DIN on the HCDR end, connecting the ground and right channel, and an RCA at the sub end. Didn’t spend a lot of time dialing it just right but from what I can tell, it sounds a bit muddier than having it connected through the high level input. Total length is about 3m.

No resistors on any of my three DIN-RCA cables. If any of my two HCDR explodes, I’ll let you know.

The HCDR doesn’t see the cable. It just provides physical passthrough from the preamp with a common ground. It’s entirely the 282 that drives the cable and sees the load.
