More sad news. Paul Cotton longtime singer-songwriter/guitarist with Poco has passed away aged 78.

A great band from the 70’s. Sometimes its difficult to get your head around the fact that many of the musical heroes from that era are now well into their 70’s and beyond. RIP Paul

I also enjoyed his work with Illinois Speed Press, so very long ago.
Poco were a kinda feeder band for the Eagles providing both Randy Meisner and Timothy Schmidt. But a great band in their own right and Paul was a fine musician. RIP
I followed Poco from their inception as I loved Richie Furay in Buffalo Springfield. Poco made a huge step up when Paul Cotton joined great lead guitarist and songwriter with a great voice.
I’ve got a couple of his solo efforts excellent.
