One of the great unsung drummers Roger Hawkins died a couple of days ago. He was part of the Muscle shoals rhythm section. The list of artists he played with is a who’s who of the music business, and some of the best music ever recorded.

One of those artists if I see him (along with his bass player buddy David Hood) i’ll buy the album.

It popped up on facebook with a tribute from Steve Winwood……the best drummer he ever played with, and he played with most of the greats.
