Ron sadly passed away on 5th May. A Naim user in the very early days, a regular letter writer to the hifi mags of the time (particularly The Flat Response), featured as a ”readers system” owner, stalwart of hifi shows and an all round good guy.

Oh, also threatened with legal action from a manufacturer after Ron loaned a piece of his own equipment to the flat response for a group review.

Some here may remember him. All his friends from the New Ash Green HiFi club certainly do, and will continue to do so.

RIP Ron.

I seem to remember the Flat Response rubbishing a Koetsu cartridge and claiming that the 12 UKP Basik was superior, or something like that. I could see how that irresponsible journalism would rub a few people the wrong way.
