Rutger Hauer has passed away, aged 75

I was sad to read that Rutger Hauer passed away yesterday, aged 75.

For many of us he will always be best known as Roy Batty the replicant in Blade Runner, or perhaps most memorably as The Hitcher. It has been many years since I saw The Hitcher - maybe its time to track it down and watch again.

Very sad indeed. Always enjoyed his work and I know it’s not high art but Blind Fury has always made me chuckle, particularly “the lift” scene.
