Just got myself a very lovely pair of mint boxed sbls and I love them.
One I did notice is that the crossover circuit board moves freely about in the black plastic housing, so when you push the speaker terminals in it shifts forwards and vice versa.
How are they held in the black plastic housings, cannot see any fixings.
Mine are rigid in the black casing and it looks like some sort silicon beading.
Got mine open and yes you are right, but on mine it had gone hard over the years, peeled it off and applied new.
Perfect thanks @CalamityJack
Check the input connections whilst you are at it naca5 does a total number on the speaker ports.
Thanks for this @garyi
had to solder a couple as were a little wobbly!
Yes simply reflowing it seems to do the trick. Also I recently got some IBLs and the actual sockets were thick with black stuff that actually caused one side to cut out occasionally, a couple of quetips and acetone sorted it. Usually just running the speaker plugs in a few times fixes it, but not this time for me.
