SBL's Do I buy them or not?

There is Mk2 pair in Black for £450 on another place.

As has been said, you need a lot of photos. To me ‘fair’ possibly equates to ‘poor’, definitely not ‘good’. Personally I would be concerned about the condition, but if that doesn’t bother you then £150 is a real bargain.

Others have recommended 250 as minimum … I’d say more to the point is the quality of source and pre … unless the room and rear wall are beyond reproach, anything of lower quality than CD2 / 82 might leave these sounding a bit unpleasant … and that’s even if they’re sonically A1. Be prepared to step on the ladder and start climbing.

My local Naim dealer is selling a pair with the mark 2 bass units for less than £600. Not sure where you live but an 800 mile return journey at 50p per mile is £400! You would also be able to hear them with your equipment. Just a thought. The dealer is in South west London.
