I think preferences for headphones is a purely personal perception. For me as a student of the guitar since age 8 I tend to gauge accuracy in a headphone by finger movements on an acoustic guitar, fretboard movements and the sounds of strings being hit with nail. skin. combinations of the same and also on whether I can detect an acoustic guitar house sound (Martin, Taylor et al). For me the Utopias give me the closest reproduction with what I hear when playing. As regards pairing with the Atom HE. I use it on my home office desk so am often working, gives great reproduction to my ears and definately lots of PRAT. The Chord Dave is part of my main system and the Hugo2/2go is used on the couch, bed or wherever I plonk myself down to listen to headphones, great clarity and instrument definition. Sound signatures are obviously different between the Chords and Atom HE but still enjoy all of them paired with the Utopia’s. I would add I did get a good deal on the Utopia’s. The expense being the reason I only have one pair for home use, prior headphones that I have used get passed on to family members…..

Custom Cans do a mod kit along the same lines with a copper weight added and some differing foam inserts, i bought a kit, and 20 mins later more bass and a tad smoother.. nice work tho Winnie!
