Hi Jamie,
Thank you very much for your recommendation. I’s thinking about some coupling but didn’t know which material should be good. The Sorbonne feet is a great idea. I will let him try.

Haha
This setup was for my youngest brother. I gave them in the occasions of new house or renovation and have one left whose’s under construction. ![]()
Improvement of SQ, eh? An admission that furniture-plonking is not a good idea.
Does it?
I suspect most people’s speakers are sitting on ‘feet’ of some kind.
Does this count? It’s an HNE table, with black granite shelves and solid oak legs. I am sure that I sould have got 2 Fraims, but I have had this for 20 years. We did test how an LP12 sounds sitting on the top shelf - not good - so it stayed on my ancient Target shelf.
Using the HRS Nimbus feet under boxes that don’t have suspension was actually a marginal improvement, but I am still not persuaded by the visuals and the volume needs to be at Spinal Tap levels before you can really hear a benefit. Perversely perhaps, the helped my humble old 82 niteably but don’t seem as good with the 552.
As I think I’ve mentioned previously Nick, I never liked how my LP12 sounded on my Fraim either. Sounds so much nicer on my self designed rack. At least to my ears.
That’s not furniture, it’s a hifi rack if ever I saw one.
Cor blimey.
There’s no room for your beer. ![]()
Very nice, are they Spendor A2’s?
A6 to be precise.
Our unit was made for us by a local bespoke manufacturer…funny thing is that was back in 2014 before I got my Nova![]()
Upgraded to a 222 with NPX300 and some active ATC 40’s. I’m happy and so is Mrs CTJ![]()
Very discrete. That’s a lovely, simple but capable system you have there.
Thanks @1GiantLeap for your kind words![]()
I can’t resist thinking I see a coffin. Probably me and my 60 years approaching.

Hi CTJ, glad I made you laugh.
By the way, if you want to stay anonymous, please enlarge the picture of your tv. You may have a surprise. It happened to me in the past.
Well, I have the matching coffee table and it has no metal or glass shelves, so I thought it might count. Maybe if I put some books and a table lamp on it?
Only if the lamp is better than his ![]()
