Show us your hi-fi furniture (no dedicated hi-fi racks please)

It’s a mayong-chid, like a baby mango. Delicious.

I’m experimenting. These copper tipped spike and cup combo sound good. Better I think.

@JamesBKK Yeah I think that is much more in line with the principles that Naim would recommend for best SQ.

I say that based on the design of their fraim rack which uses solid platforms suspended on hard, solid (but tiny) contact areas.

Based on my own experiments with feet under naim components such as SA Auva and iso acoustics, I found that they certainly add something to the sound, but at the same time they take something away. What you are left with is not a ‘true’ sound.

Having said that, Auva’s work really well under my PSU that powers my EE8 switch.

If you decide you like the spike and cup combo, you could try the soundcare superspikes (the ones without the threaded bolt) to see if they are even better. Personally, I’m a big fan.

Yeah, I like listening to music. That is, all of it…

What brand is this?

Thanks, you just stick / glue them to the glass plate?

My simple set up is nicely contained in a Salamander Designs Synergy cabinet. The lower shelf can hold about 200 pounds. Each individual shelf can hold 60 pounds. The shelves can be adjusted to any height. The interior is completely open. Which allows for easy cable management. I am a tinkerer. I buy, sell and trade equipment. I installed the heavy duty casters and can easily move the entire cabinet away from the wall and roll it around. Easy to connect and install components. Really enjoy it.

Nice set up. What’s the music app you are using on the TV screen, and how is connected to the hi-fi?

I guess you could, I have just let gravity do the work.

Thank you. The software program on the TV is Roon. I’m very happy with it.

It’s quite different in design to Naim’s version, though. They use stainless steel, so much harder than copper, and Naim Chips and Fraim shelves have recesses that are flat, not the same as you find on most alternatives where the spikes sit in a tight recess which lock them in place.

I grant you the specifics are different but in principle its closer to fraim design than feet with built in springs.

I gave away the Atom and Neat Iota to my brother. They’re sited on the sideboard and sound fine.

Entirely up to your brother, he may wish to try some little sorbothane feet under the Iotas. Made a difference to mine on their Kallax…Nine quid per four pack.
