Very little science behind why I have them. I was looking to replace my Royd Doublets, which were over 20 years old and these came available at a ‘well known Leicestershire dealer’. I was offered a home loan and they never went back… 
Great album too. Love Drastic Plastic !

Getting better all the time . Love them and really easy to listen to , just dead musical. Bass is kicking in now

Bloody expensive in the UK too! But a joy to live with.
Not sure if my photo upload has worked! If it has, one of my X2’s is in view. Interesting fact- they were manufactured just down the road from my place!
