Where’s the cute-o-meter?
Visitors this afternoon. Not seen the calico before, but it just looked at me before wandering off. The fluffball came bounding up meowing, did a circuit, had a drink and then sat washing.
A lot of animals are in search of water at the moment. Particularly mammals.
It’s interesting that cats would rather drink out of something else rather than their bowl.
It went off the scale and exploded, that lil’ pup is just so darn cute!
I have water bowls out for hedgehogs and birds
They do, we leave bowls out but buckets, trays and puddles are much better it seems.
Yes, we have a small herd of deer who regularly visit the pond near the house. Unfortunately it does come with risks for some animals. The day before yesterday I spotted what looked like a bunch of old brown Ash keys lying in the water. closer inspection though found it to be a Tawny owl that had drowned… ![]()
In droughts here we leave water out for the wildlife we (well most people) also put a stick or something in the container. Gives the creators an escape in case they fall in, nothing worse than finding a pigmy possum or something else dead in a bucket. ![]()
Snow Dog and I enjoyed what started off as a glass, and soon became a bottle of wine, sat on our wonderful swingseat in the late afternoon sun. Then I noticed one of our Kittehs had decided to join us:

Well, young Frankie appears to have cracked it with Milo. He still has to win over Nala, who is a little more aloof.
