The counterweight looks a bit small.
SME 15? Great!
Yes, a two year old.
Cripes, you’d need to factor in the curvature of the Earth in working out the tracking angles & biasing for this set-up.
Or go ‘old skool’ and stick a 2p piece to the head-shell …always tracked fine, shame about the cartridge’s suspension!
Great looking TT there Cledi13. As it’s not a Sondek though, I have moved your post to the Show us your turntable thread.
What is the arm?
pro-ject 9cc Evolution with a carbon/ Alu tube from 9cc. Special Edition for this Celebration
Looks good!
Blimey, that’s thinking outside the box!
Great stuff, Hollow. Here’s one, also early 60’s, that I came across not long ago with an SME and and these two beauties:
Decca FFSS type lll ED 1129 and Ortofon Ronette TX88
The flat earthers believe the earth is flat…so no curves
It’s a Policeman’s turntable, you can tell by the long arm.
Boom boom
My Technics SL D2, which I have had from new and has been in steady use, even through the CD era.
How lovely - your SL-D2 looks to be in mint condition! That brings back lots of memories - I still have some UD-XLII cassettes of records I taped (I know, naughty) using a school friend’s parent’s SL-D3 and Nakamichi LX-3. I think it helped me fall in love with Technics decks.
