Well I’ve been told by a number of Voyd user’s that it’s not a great match.
But it sounds great on mine .
Open, dynamic with powerful bass ,I can’t see why it shouldn’t work?
It has been fettled by J7 with kondo fairy wire so I’m told.

Clearaudio don’t get the love and respect that others get on the forum, so it’s nice to see a Clearaudio Concept .

That’s an interesting clamp, easy to miss at a cursory glance

New P8 Apheta 3. I broke the cantilever off my Ania and decided to trade up the P6 rather than buy a cart retail. The discount on the package from Rega is pretty substantial… insurance were great about settling up I then broken P6 so it was an opportunity too good to pass up.

I’m o the fence as to whether to keep the stageline or get an Aria to match but the whole thing is a big step up from the P6 I had before…

The 10x5 is a fantastic cartridge. Really rocks! I had one years back on a Garard 301/SME 3009 rig.

I had a good listen to the P8 last Saturday at the audio show with Hegel amps and Amphion speakers.
Sounded excellent.

I would respectfully suggest setting up your turntable in a horizontal orientation rather than the vertical. You will be less likely to break the cantilever and I guarantee an improvement in SQ and ease of use.

If Rega applied downforce with the spring that might work but they don’t, the spring partially counters the downforce from the counterweight adjustment, ie gravity.
I’m not sure even Rega’s generous antiskate force is quite up to it though.

One of my all time most gorgeous turntables. Beautiful!

Thanks.

Is the clamp a stealth-type invisible one unseen by the naked eye?

Hi Graham the clamp is attached to the Clearaudio by 4 spikes on the side and supports the turntable in the air and 4 downward spikes touch the glass

Ah!! I was looking in the wrong place.

Greetings all, some really nice looking 'tables here!

Thought I might post a picture of my P3-24 just because Swordfishtrombones has never sounded as good as it did today, so here it is. Not shown in the picture are the powersupply Neo and phonostage Phono MM. Cart is Elys 2, though Exact would be a nicer match to the mat. Maybe someday!

I had a planar 3 with that same slate finish. Really nice! I have quite vivid memories of lugging it in it’s rather large box from Graham’s across London to the nearest tube and out to Hounslow on the Piccadilly line. It was partnered with a Creek CAS4040 and a pair of Royd coniston r’s. Many happy hours ensued. I still have the Royd’s stored but sadly everything else was sold on…

My first system was a Planar 3, Creek 4140s2 and a pair of Royd Sevens. Wish I still had it as a second system.

Mine? RB600! It’s a rega P25 circa 1999. Bought new in Brighton. New 24v motor and the Exact cartridge. Shortly off to a new home. A mate looking for a vinyl replay setup.
