One of my first High-end experiences was with a Voyd Reference TT.
Music Room in Manchester early 90’s
Boyd Reference with the big motors, Helios arm, active Audio Note IO cartridge, Audio Note silver interconnects & Stepup transformer.
Audio Innovations 1000 PreAmp, 2nd Audio Mono blocks into Snell E’s
Peter (Audio note UK distributor) & Malcolm Sargent in attendance
Friday Night in San Francisco Live, on Philips pressing.
And been trying to reproduce that sound/experience since.
LOL - I had a toy turntable It came with different plastic LPs. Each one pressed a different set of selector buttons underneath which selected a different tinny tune to play…
A Linn LP1.2?

Nick those of us in the States found a vendor who made big acrylic dustcovers. If you can find someone . . . other than the risk of dropping it onto the arm, it works well ![]()
Don’t Pro-Ject make a suitable cover ?
They do appear to sell a variety of covers. Whether any fit correctly I have no idea.
At least in the U.S. Norm at Stereo Squares is the person to talk to about custom acrylic covers for turntables and such. I had one for my Clearaudio Ovation – built to order and my spec – and it was top quality (about $350). I don’t know if they can ship abroad but if they can their quality is second to none, IMO.
@Swiftnick appears to reside in Wales and I see that there is a Pro-Ject dealer in Cardiff . . . that’d be a reasonable approach if one of those Pro-Ject covers will work!
Is that picture from the inside of Spiritland in Kings Cross ?..turntables…Kuzma… Technics…the third may be a Pioneer cd set up.
Maybe wrong but it looks similar to me.
Steve.
The shape of the blue light looks very Roksanesque.
Steve makes a good point, could be a CD player.
Alright! A new armboard, belt, a 2nd hand PS, a (mostly) new RB303 that spent years in a spares box and needed a new home… now I just need the right cart for it.
Yeah …have a look on the Spiritland website…the images do show a pair of what look like Pioneer cd decks…albeit in a different position.
