What are all the boxes (and TT)? It all looks very sleek.

They look like HRS platforms?

That’s a – now discontinued – HRS RXR audio stand on the right. On this left side it’s something else, but with HRS isolation bases on the shelves.

AirBnB in Norwich turned up a nice surprise! Roxy Music greatest hits in their small collection as well. Built in speakers, which seems like a terrible idea X)

Wowzer, seriously impressive

I always think of kit like that as a starting point, so great to see it :grinning_face::grinning_face:

Great Album

A CDX2 is an excellent ‘transcription’ CD player. Mine vies jealously for the top spot against the LP12, but without an external power supply it loses out, mostly. So sorry the Clyde-built magic didn’t work for you, even on an Audiotech table.

It’s funny, but I never thought of it as “warm sounding’, just engaging and fun/ekstatik even from my 1989 pre-Cirkus, Valhalla, Ittok VII, Exact, TT. Now, it is just so much more exciting, detailed and full of life.

Traded in my old Thales table bought in 2013 for this new Thales Elegance. Arm is from the original table matched with a DS Audio W3

Tonight I went to kj west one Linn evening ( maybe some of you Naim forum guys were there?) . They were demonstrating the Top flight Lp12 Klimax with the new power supply. The amps were Nagra and speakers were Wilson Audio. A real telephone number priced system . The Klimax really is a superb deck and for those in a position to go for an ultimate deck it’s a contender . Some lucky people on this forum may own the Klimax . It was a great vibe tonight and congrats to the Linn rep and kj staff . I’m consoling myself with Atomic Roster compilation lp on my restored Lenco :+1:

Who left those records to couple the rack to the floor like that?!

Joan Armatrading and Shosto. for the dem; good choices both.

That’s not an optimal way to set up the system. I know the trampoline helps but the lp12 really needs something light and rigid to work. It would sound better with the lp12 on a light table and the amps stood on the floor.

Do you own an lp12?

I have now placed the Studiotechnik Dusch Step-up Transformer right next to the Vertere DG-X and it is connected with Van den Hul the Mountain cables to the Phonostage of the Luxman 509z.

Sounds fantastic and looks like the turntable needs watercooling with two garden hose pipes

How does the ``Keel SE sound cf Std Keel please ?

Hi
Keel SE has very clever machining and weight distribution is very obvious as is the almost double weight of previous and according to info 3X more rigid than previously.
The Keel SE is a formidable “ lump “ as soon as it was time to do the bounce it seemed like it took much less time to get a great pistonic movement but the really obvious feeling is much more stable and much less skittish than previous.
Obviously care should always be taken and respect given when cueing up but it seem more sure footed and robust.

Sound wise is very obviously improved in every way more deep and controlled and very accurate reproduction but not in a shouty way just lots more definition and clarity.
More updates as listen more but instantly is a very worthwhile upgrade. :+1:
Keel SE left and old Keel right
Yes the new one is double the mass and machined for even weight distribution.
