Anyone heard this new Lady Blackbird album on vinyl yet and if so how is it?
Bad reviews on Discogs but would rather hear what the good folk of this parish thought.
Just tried listening to this, I made it 5 songs in and fell asleep…no joke.

I have listened once and will have to give it another spin.
Her first release Blalk Acid Soul was outstanding right out of the box. The first impression of ‘Slang Spirituals’ did not have the same impact…

I struggled with it. It sounded very messy and chaotic - I thought maybe it was too much for my little PMC DB1s. You’ve made me wonder now.
I don’t have it on vinyl but I have listened to it about 4 times on Qobuz. It grew on me and now I really rate it. It is a little ‘messy’ sounding in places but all in all, it’s a great album (IMHO).
The first few tracks can sound a little messy or full on but it settles down quickly. The last 4-5 tracks, for me, are beautiful. She has a stunning voice.
