Have just seen a video on a high end audio YouTube site showing the Sonax Rubber Protectant used on the speakers rubber surround claiming to keep it supple and basically stopping it getting aged and stiff, it was not a advertisement, has anyone used this or got a opinion if this is a good idea or a bit of snake oil. It can be used on car rubber seals and any flexible seals.
If you run an internet search including the word âdynaudioâ youâll see it mentioned on their official site in the list of things youâll need to clean the rubber surround on speakers.
Yes, itâs officially recommended by Dynaudio to clean/maintain the rubber suspension.
Just check twice if yours are real rubber !
If I had Dynaudio speakers, I would use it. As I donât, I would check with my speaker manufacturer before doing so.
Are you âaving a larf? D***x Rubber Protective? 2 bob to you guvâ.
I use it on my cars to keep door seals in good condition, seems to work well
Just sounds like a lubricant?
Good advice, I checked with manufacturer and he OK it.
