I love the Sonus Faber products. I have owned a few, and currently own the Electa Amator 3.
I just saw the new prices here in Canada. More than a 15% increase. For example, the Guarneri jumped from 26 600$ to 34 800$.
I don’t see this as anything other than greed from Sonus Faber’s new owner, the dreaded Bose. I knew it was bad news when Bose bought the McIntosh group (of which SF is a part). I hate Bose…

Still have my set of Concertinos of more than 20 years that is coming out of the mothballs again soon so have a soft spot for SF.
It is sad when a giant company ruins something that is really nice.
Over here we have a micro brewery that is very unique and very well loved. What happened? Large beer company bought them, and two years later they are closing them down as not enough profit for the huge company. Another gem lost.
I ordered new SolidSteel racks. When my dealer got the quote from the distributor, the price had increased by about 10%. One could argue that since these were already in the local distribution stock and not arriving from Italy, that there should not be a price increase. However, I could not tell if this was due to tariffs or the fact that the importer had not increased prices for some time. My dealer asked me if I wanted to cancel my order. Since I needed the racks for my new 300 series gear, I saw no reason to cancel the order.
Most of the original Sonus Faber loudspeakers were indeed good.
The few I’ve heard of the recent range were nothing special and certainly not worth the premium price range IMO.
I had early 2000 SF speakers. Well crafted and visually stunning. I could never get them to perform well in my room. They needed to be farther apart than my room could accommodate. They worked superbly at the dealer though
My Concertos’s are still going strong 25 years on. Took them to the dealer for a demo a few years ago and he said I would need to spend at least £5K to beat them!
sorry this happened to you, hope you find another beer you like. god only knows how few choices there is in beer these days

I don’t know, the one I did think was special was the Maxima Amator I heard a few years ago. I wouldn’t want to go back to passive speakers in my main system, but and I couldn’t justify them for a second one, but it was hard to resist. 
The shop I bouth mine in Germany haves all same price from lumina till Aida
And also other 3 shops I used to watch one here at n Switzerland and other Germany sonetto,olimpica nova and lumina same price
