Speaker anti-vibration feet

I missed it. Good to know they made a difference when installed under the Naim Fraim.

As Maarten has shown above, look up Boenicke Audio speakers.

I use the Cerapucks under the rack and the Cerabases under the speakers. They recommend both situations, even under components.
But I didn’t liked this third option.

Only one way to know, as you know.

Anybody tried such anti vibration feet unser Allaes? If yes: which make/model and what was the result? Using spikes on brand new laminated floor will be a no-no…

I have no info about your speakers, but surely anyone using spikes does not have the spike sitting directly on the floor? Usually you get some kind of disc/cup for the spike to sit in with the speakers.
These come with my speakers

So impressed with the Gaia II feet in my room with polished concrete floor.

Was very skeptical. Especially with Ovator S400 employing their own leaf spring isolation tech.

Nevertheless, it feels like multiple recent upgrades were only truly, fully realized - after installing the Gaia II… SQ performance gains seemed to pour out of the speakers.

The thread size in the titan 808’s is a problem it seems. It is very large, 20mm? I believe.
So the aura don’t fit as they don’t make a thread adapter to fit.

What’s the shower head/phone-shaped object on the right?

Spikes and cones I get, but this object’s function is new to me. For a specific speaker maybe?

That is what bolts to the bottom of the speaker. The cone screws in the other end to the bolts.
Maybe you can zoom in on a photo of them in place. I left them on as they sit on the podiums, some people take the outrigger and spikes off completely when using podiums, I did not want to risk scratching the bottom of the speakers.
The surface of the podium is kind of rough.

Got it, thanks @NO-QUARTER

Hi, I’ve put my present Audiovector R3 Arreté speakers, with their (std) spikes underneath but without any disc below them, directly on the Townshend Seismic Podiums …. sounds really good!
… in the past I used to have Kharma Ceramique CRM 3.2 FE speakers; …. from memory, you could surely give it a similar try? … without the discs, but including the std. Kharma SDSS-feet!
Success :+1:t3:

They want to sell more. Ideally you should use them under everything, including your plants. The plants develop more chlorophyll and use more CO2, making the air better.

Ha ha ha
Yes, they want indeed. But which brand doesn’t?

Thanks for that, I suppose it might be worth trying.:+1:

I’ve gone with the Stack Audio AUVA 100’s on my active ATC’s.

Fitted them today and so far I’m impressed !!!

I’ll let them settle for a day (the contents of these need time to do that apparently)

It’s hard to not be excited and let emotions run and you end up “thinking” it’s an upgrade.

So I’ll background listen and switch off a bit and just listen and see how I go.

There’s a 60 day return policy if I’m not happy or can’t hear any change.

But…… it certainly seems to have a more “calming”effect on the music - without taking away detail, dynamics or engagement.

Soundstage appears better, more solid Centre image and bass seems tighter, more impactful and more pronounced.

I’m so impressed with the AUVA 100’s for my speakers that I’ve ordered a bunch of AUVA EQ isolators for my electronics.

The only issue that may or may or may not be one.

Is there a thought about using 3x footers under a NAIM component or is 4x footers best for sound or any other issue ?

Stack Audio seem to recommend the footers are best under the compliment themselves and not under the component fitted footers. So I’ve ordered enough AUVA EQ - CSA 1 - which is weight for 0-4kg each fitter for a combined total weight of 12kg max for any one component.

I ordered enough for all my gear - except the NPX 300 as that’s over 14kg and I’ll use 4x footers for that one only.

I can then use 3x footers for the NAC332, if that’s prudent to do so that is.

Good effective footers will bring a worthwhile improvement or difference when fitted on speakers. Good to know the Auva 100s have worked wonders on your ATCs. All my speakers have been fitted with Isoacoustics Gaia and similarly they improved the sound quality.

I would be interested to know how the Auva EQs will perform when placed below Naim components. FWIW I used to experiment with Nobsound springs before and the best result was obtained when the footers are placed at locations where the weight distribution is the highest. For the NAP250DR, the weight is mostly contributed by the transformer, so the footer was placed lopsided on the right side of the amp where the transformer lies.

This was the arrangement of the footers when I experimented with the configuration about two years ago. I tried 4 footers, then 3 footers with different spring configurations and this one brought the best result. Notice the footer at the rear of the amp was placed slightly to the right side.

I’m not sure about the Auva EQs but I presume the customer support would be able to advise. FWIW the rack is actually more important than the footers. If you have a bad rack, the result will still be poor although there will be a slight improvement with the footers on the bad rack. I’ve sold the rack as shown above as it doesn’t really cut it.

I have 4 x Auva EQs under my 300DR + the power supply.
