I have another question relating to another system… This one is about my better Naim system, a NDS/252/250/XPS/Supercap/Spendor S8 (not e)
I’ve been offered some a pair of Spendor S9e for “about a grand”, and having loved the S8s for 20 years… I was wondering
Does anyone have a view on them, particularly versus the S8s? Whats the difference? I’m guessing more bass, but I often prefer 2 way speakers for their simplicity and coherence.
Will my 250 drive them ok? I know Spendors are typically efficient, but thats a big bass cone!
One of my favourite " bigger " speakers I have owned ,had for many years .
Not flashy ,ie would not dem well against others in a shop potentialy , but once you lived with them ,they were like a pair of comfy slippers to me .
I don’t have experience of the 8 unfortunately.
Yes a 250 will work great with them .
I had from Supernait 1 to 250s on them .
The SN1 was great too
Big? They’re only 8 1/2 inch, which in my book is pretty average in size. Anything less than 8 inches is getting small, while big would be over 10 inches.
