Spotify Connect and Focal&Naim App issues

I have two issues really and I’m not sure if they are related or not.

On Saturday my Spotify connect stream stopped working on my Naim Uniti and it is now no longer showing up in Spotify’s device list.

It is also no longer showing in the Focal&Naim app I’ve tried to add it manually with its IP address as it is doesn’t have a listed option.

Is anyone else experiencing issues with their devices and Spotify Connect and is there anything that can be tried to get it to work with the Naim app?

It’s also maybe worth noting that I tried a factory reset and got a Fault 61 BridgeCo init fail message on the display that locked up the device. I turned it off by the back switch and it’s not happened again, even after a second factory reset.

my device isn’t showing up in the main app which is part 2 of my issue.

Could that be a firmware issues? I’ve just had a look and my uniti is still on software version 4.7

Restart all, in sequence. First router, wait until it’s fully restarted. Then the streamer.

It happens from time to time, unfortunately. Sometimes it is spotify, sometimes it is a router, sometimes it is hell knows what.

The Naim devices are too fragile, any network related issue makes them unresponsive.

I added an additional router to wire it with a cable, and it helped. However, I still have to reset the router and the device every couple of months.

Hi, thanks for the help and recommendations. It’s all working again as it should/was.

My apologies if this has been covered in another thread I don’t really keep up with this stuff. Does anyone know if Qobuz connect works with my Uniti it’s I have a 2012, 192 model. I don’t see anything for it in the naim app.

There’s no native support for Qobuz. You can use it if you’re prepared to get your hands dirty with workarounds, some of which are free, or you can bypass the streamer by running a Qobuz compatible one into an SPDIF input. Otherwise you are limited to 16/44.1 Tidal.

occasionally i cant see devices on spotify connect and its because there’s an update to Spotify that needs implementing…

after that it all works

From my experience, when I don’t see the streamer from the Spotify application, it is always the same. The rest of the network is working perfectly, and every application/service is unable to see the Naim streamer, even Roon.
